In plain language
Citiz is an independent study tool, not a government service. Use it personally, keep your account secure, and do not copy or disrupt the service. Full access is one payment for 12 months, not a subscription.
The service
Citiz provides original practice questions, explanations, progress tools and mock exams based on publicly available citizenship study material. Citiz is not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada, is not an official test, and does not provide immigration or legal advice.
Accounts
Provide an email address you control and keep your password and session secure. One account is for one person and may not be shared or transferred. You are responsible for activity through your account unless you promptly tell us it was compromised. You must be legally able to enter this agreement or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Personal licence and acceptable use
Citiz grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial study during your available access. You may not:
- Copy, publish, sell, sublicense or redistribute the question bank or other Citiz content.
- Scrape, bulk-download, automate access to or build a competing dataset from the service.
- Bypass access controls, share paid access or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
- Interfere with the service, introduce harmful code or use Citiz unlawfully.
Paid access
The checkout shows the total price in Canadian dollars before payment. A successful one-time payment activates full access for 12 months; it does not renew automatically. Stripe processes the payment. Access starts when Stripe confirms it, and features included in full access are described on the offer page at purchase time.
Refunds, including the honor-system Pass Guarantee, follow our refund policy.
Content and intellectual property
The Citiz application, original question wording, explanations and presentation belong to Citiz or its licensors. Discover Canada, government names and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Referencing official material does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
Accuracy, updates and availability
We work to keep questions accurate and cite official sources, but laws, officials, study material and exam procedures can change. Check current instructions and material on official Government of Canada websites. We may correct, update, add or remove content and may interrupt the service for maintenance, security or circumstances outside our control.
No passing promise
Practice scores and readiness estimates are educational indicators, not predictions or guarantees. Your result depends on the official test and your own preparation. The Pass Guarantee is a refund promise governed by the refund policy; it is not a promise that you will pass or receive citizenship.
Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights, warranties or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. To the extent permitted by law, Citiz is provided as available without additional warranties, and Citiz is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Any aggregate liability relating to paid access is limited to the amount you paid for that access.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Citiz or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, security risk, payment reversal or a material breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination remain in effect.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes when required. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms, subject to applicable law.
